Review summary

I heard there was a new CEO who is making changes and so far I'm not sure they are good ones. I had gone on Norwegian in December 2015 and it was wonderful. This one didn't quite measure up. The staffing seems to have been cut back for poolside and shows and the rooms have been pared down in size reducing bureau space and making the small bathroom even smaller....you can't turn around in the front of the vanity. Shower size was fine actually....you just couldn't hardly remove your clothes or put them on in the bathroom. I would hate to try that if I were a large man for sure. Despite my concerns I have booked another cruise for next February and am hoping that the new CEO will see that the customer is not pleased with the changes being made.

The food was excellent in the specialty dining restaurants as well as the Pacific American. Wasn't as thrilled with the food in Alizure.

Onboard Activities

Cruise staff was not as vibrant as on past cruises nor as friendly. They did their jobs but in some cases it seemed as if their hearts weren't in it.

Entertainment

The shows were OK but the seating is very uncomfortable due to too tight spacing and lack of leg room. Could have used more adult comedy onboard to fill some of the evenings that were pretty lame.

Service and Staff

The staff for most meals were excellent. The issue was with finding poolside staff and show staff for drinks every day. Cabin staff was not nearly as friendly as on previous cruises.

Ship Quality

Clean up of poolside areas and bar areas could have been improved. No one seemed to care if tables had empty glasses or plates on them all around the ship.

Pretty place but too commercial....not at all like other private islands I have visited in the past. Did not really like the sand and beach area, expected white sand and a leveler entry to the water, not a big drop.
