Review summary

We had a very enjoyable time. Met some people that we plan on trying to meet up with again.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We had the easiest embarkation we have ever had. Walked up the ramp straight to an agent and once done with the paperwork walked straight onto the ship. Had a nice lunch and enjoyed the sun waiting for our room

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5

Moderno Churrascaria

3 out of 5

We usually love this restaurant but it seemed like the meats weren’t as good as usual. A lot of fat and tons of seasoning. Still enjoyed it.

Cagney's Steakhouse

5 out of 5

Very good meal as usual.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
They need more activities. It seems like they have cut back on a lot. It would also be better when they have activities or presentations with a lot of people that they would use the theater as there is not enough room in the atrium for things like the cruise next presentation. It was in the middle of the day and I’m sure they could have used the theater.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Burn the floor was amazing. I wasn’t a big fan of million dollar quartet but my husband loved it as did the audience. Just not my cup of tea but it was fine. Howl at the moon was good as always. Didn’t enjoy the comedian and it was the same one everyday.

Service and Staff

I hate to say this but we had the absolute worst cabin steward ever in our 15years of cruising. He said he had 22 rooms and I believe that. Our cabin must have been numbered 22 for him. Our cabin was never cleaned until 3or 4 every day. On one day we came back from an excursion and our room had still not been cleaned. He happened to come to clean it and I said I would sit on the balcony while he cleaned. Two days later the same thing happened. I had to fine him in the hall and ask what always boing on. It was 3:30 and we had no clean towels and were gross and sweaty and just wanted a shower. He said to wait on the balcony again. Needless to say I was not happy. We don’t pay thousands to sit on the balcony everyday while he cleans our room. I think if you have that many rooms you should switch your cleaning schedule every day. So no one is always last.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I love the design of this class of ship. We really enjoy deck 8 waterfront area. Not a lot of people go to the bar outside Sydney Norman’s so it’s not crowded and they have nice comfortable chairs to relax on

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Normal cabin. We are used to the size. After being on the Prima you realize how small these cabins are. Our mattress was awful. They really need some new mattresses. Balcony is small.

Ports of call

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

By far our favorite port. Such a beautiful friendly island. They also were so happy to have us visit.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

Disembarkation

I’m not sure how much of this falls on ncl or selfish people. Everyone tries to get off before their color is called so it messes everyone up. I have no idea why they do this as your luggage will not be there when you get down. So there are mobs of people standing around waiting for luggage and those of us that were called can’t get to ours so it makes for an awful experience.
