Review summary

The weather was great, the ports were great, but the boat was too big for my taste.  It was a great getaway but too many people congregating in one spot.  They need to spread the activities over a broader area so more people can participate.  The food was not so good.  If you wanted to pay extra and eat in the fancy dining rooms you get a good menu.  We sailed NCL in April and had fantastic meals but they have changed their menu and it is not for the better. Over all it was a good cruise for the young family type, but not aimed at the senior cruisers.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

NCL changed their menu and the pay for meals are excellant but the regular ding is bad.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
but should have been spread out more as area on top decks were so cangested you couldn't even walk around

Entertainment

3 out of 5
again if you want to pay extra it is great but you have to make reservations in advance to see anything as the theatre is too small

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
didn't use this service but kids looked like they were having a good time.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
the staff and crew were extremely great for the most part.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
to congested, not laid out very well.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
room was adequate but balcony was the smallest I have ever seen. Even a the small ships you get a bigger balcony. It was about 3 feet wide. There was two chairs and a small table but you couldn't get around them is someone was sitting in one. Just barely big enough for two people at one time.

Ship tip

O'Sheehans Bar is a great place for a quick and excellent meal. Beats the main dining room for menu and is usually not crowded. Excellent chicken wings.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Local transport ($4.) each takes you anywhere you want to see and is well worth it.
