Ocean Blue on the Waterfront on Norwegian Getaway

Great service and eating on the waterfront is amazing.

Ahi Tuna and Avocado Tower and Hong Kong Style Snapper make a visit here a treat!

As I mentioned with Cagney’s, if the weather is nice then I would recommend dining on the Waterfront because the experience is amazing. I love watching the sunset as I’m enjoying my dinner and hearing the ship crash through the waves. It’s really more romantic when you’re with someone else, but I travel alone so it’s what I do to treat myself.

We only at the outside window on the waterfront. They served lobster rolls, calamari etc and it was delicious! Wish we have eaten at the restaurant but I do recommend the outside window for a nice waterfront lunch

Warning--if you have the Specialty Dining plan, there is an additional $16/person up charge at Ocean Blue. Definitely not worth it. Go somewhere else.

The meal was delicious and the seafood was fresh however, the place was book solid for the entire trip even when you would clearly see there was seating available. They need to hold firm to the claim of only holding a reservation for 15 minutes before giving it to a group who is waiting.

We did not make a reservation for this restaurant, but they were able to accommodate us with a table outside. It was so beautiful and not windy at all! I highly recommend NOT using a dining package with this restaurant as they upcharge you $18 per person. The lobster I got was perfectly cooked and cut in half so I could easily it. I am from new England and usually have lobster all the time, and this lobster is certainly top 3. Especially since it was only $25. They gave us complimentary prosecco which was the icing on top. The wait staff and manager were so attentive and polite. Favorite meal and restaurant on the ship.
