Overall, I would say my husband and I had a very wonderful vacation on the Norwegian Gem. We made lasting friendships on this cruise and made a commitment to meet again on a Norwegian ship in the future.

claim your seat at the pool EARLY if you want to spend time at the pool.
I saw people getting off as self disembarkation, but, they only had carry-on luggage with them. This meant we had a longer wait, though we were honest , and they were able to go through customs ahead of us.
Rosanny: some people actually do travel with just carry on size luggage because they know they're doing self-assist. I wouldn't label them as being dishonest.
