For experienced cruisers, this particular ship and staff were very low on the pole for me. We had been on the Epic before and the only complaint then was the layout of the room. Knowing this, we decided to overlook that, but the services we received and expectations having traveled NCL many times, were subpar at the most.

Did not participate as most activities were in the Atrium and the crows were ridiculous as they are right by the Shore excursion, Cruise Next and Concierge desk.

In 23 days, we saw one show (great cabaret type show) and three variety shows. Not much to choose from and the talent and if you like the Beatles (8+ shows), you were good.

The front part of the cruise was okay - our cabin steward was awesome. Dining staff is not happy, and it showed. Not very personable at all and constantly running back and forth to the kitchen as there was no organization with the anytime dining and everyone coming in at all times. No smiles. No happy to be there. The cruise next desk and the Concierge crew were so "burned out" forward that you could feel it in the air. There was never enough staff and the lines were incredibly long ALL THE TIME. And they honestly had no concern of satisfying the passenger. We have so many complaints in this area, that it would seem unbelievable, so will just leave it at that.

Not much has changed since the first sailing 10 years ago. Things were clean, but the flow on the ship is horrible.
Cabin / Stateroom

This was our second portion of the trip and the room was laid out horribly. The bathrooms were okay, but the bed was right at the door and you couldn't get around them. We had a nice large balcony, but NO room in the cabin. Lots of storage. This cabin steward was okay. Big difference from Club Balcony Suite cabin. Once a day attendance is not good as we when we needed things, there was no one around. Very frustrating.
Seems to me you spent your whole cruise looking for the negative rather than spending that time enjoying the cruise. I make the best of all my cruises no matter what the situation. That money is already spent, so it's not practical to complain about everything or grumble how it's not up to your standards.
Totally understand the Epic rating however rating a port 1 because you decided not to visit is not very fair either. We have been to Rome on land fully guided tour and on a cruise and if we have a chance, we’ll do it again. Thanks for sharing.
