Review summary
Our cruise hit a lot of trouble and was delayed badly. We boarded one day late and spent two days in Port before we left while repairs took place. Which messed up our honeymoon. However we were well compensated. (50% refund and 50% future credit)The communication after the ship hit trouble and leading up to the cruise itself was awful and the helpline was the worst customer service I've ever seen so be warned and we were seriously considering whether we would ever trust NCL again. However once we were on the boat the staff couldn't do enough to help us. Definitely their saving grace. The only thing we weren't sure about were the strange cabin design. We would definitely cruise NCL again but I wouldn't use the Epic again.Embarkation

O'Sheehans Neighborhood Bar and Grill
Felt mostly like fast food style. Edible but not my first choice. Very good though if you needed a late night snack.
Maltings Whiskey Bar
A very nice bar however as a whiskey enthusiast I would have preferred some more varied whiskeys rather than most the standard bar fare. However again service with a smile and very friendly attitude so spent many evenings here and happy to recommend.
Garden Cafe
Standard buffet food..... pizza, burgers, past etc. Generally I avoid the buffets but was quite happy with the breakfast but found the lunches very uninspiring.We never visited for dinner
The Manhattan Room
Only dined here for 1 dinner and 1 breakfast. Both times we felt the food was good but the staff were so professional and friendly we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at both meals.
Shanghai's Chinese Restaurant
Food was passable like any standard takeaway nothing awe inspiring but good enough that i'd return...... staff however were great!!!
La Cucina Italian Restaurant
Portions are big and food is nice enough but I didn't feel it was anything more exciting then I got in the normal dining rooms for the included price.
Taste
Food was good. Better than the buffet but I preferred the mahatma room for its ambiance.
Teppanyaki
Great fun and good food! Always look forward to tepanyaki anywhere I go!
Wasabi
Good sushi and good service.... can't ask for any more.

Quite busy and hard to find a lounger but bar staff were very attentive and we never had to wait long for a drink..... even in the hot tub!!

Far too small for a ship this size. Also hard to find loungers.

Make friends with the staff and talk you'll be surprised how freindly they are and really want to interact with the guests rather than just to keep up appearances.
