Review summary

We enjoyed the trip. We were quite disheartened by the extra cost for everything along the way. Extra money for laser tag, extra money for racing, extra money for restaurants, extra money for bowling. It just gets a little too much. I miss the days of all inclusive cruising.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very fast embarkation, was pleased with that.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food options are plentiful. Teppanyaki and Q were both delicious.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Laser tag and cart racing were both fun. I don't think worth doing more than once due to the cost. We loved the bowling in the Local. Unfortunately, everything we liked to do on this ship costed extra money and that can be disappointing when you already spend quite a bit to get on the ship.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We only saw Jersey Boys and it was good.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Our room steward was excellent. Otherwise, the staff was just ok. I never once saw the cruise director Dan Dan and his announcements every day were very difficult to understand. He sounded like he had marbles in his mouth everytime they came on.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was in good working order and very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The reason we sail on NCL is the room for 5 people. This room is enormous for a non upgraded room. Comfortable for 5 people, and plenty of storage. The bathroom is huge for cruise standards. The only complaint I would have is there was lots of work going on under our room, plumbing type of work. Many mornings we were awoken by the use of power tools.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

4 out of 5
We prefer sailing out of Miami for the beauty and ease.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
One of our favorite islands. We did our own thing on this island.

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

4 out of 5
Weather wasn't the greatest when we arrived, which dampered the plans a little bit, but the day recovered and it was a beautiful island. We did a private excursion off the ship.

Nassau, Bahamas Did not visit port

Not fans of the Bahamas. We have been here many times on cruise ships and have never found a nice excursion.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Self assist and was able to get off as early as 715a, and everyone was offloaded easily and quickly.
