very smooth and fast process (about 20 minutes all together) got to the port around 1 hour earlier than my embarkation time but they where calling all boarding times

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
windjammer was okay. although we didn’t eat at any specialty restaurants, it was regular cruise food nothing special. the MDR food was nothing too special. if you’ve cruised w holland, princess, or celebrity (or any other higher quality cruise lines) before you’ll be disappointed. no seafood served whatsoever in the buffet (lobster served once in formal night, but it was small and wasn’t too good). the severs didn’t even care ti declaw it for us:/ lots of Indian food and Indian spices which drove me nuts (i wasn’t a fan). breakfast was good at the windjammer (always the same). lunch was basically the same each day which got a little annoying. dinners at windjammer was better as dishes would be swapped sometimes. i would stick w princess if you’re a foodie, and when it comes to food and dining I wasn’t impressed. although… escargot was exquisite (served three times in the MDR! I was impressed by that) but all in all, same old cruise food. the deserts in the buffet where gross

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Very fun for the kiddos! Water park w slides and surfing. Rock climbing and other outdoor activities like a full sized basketball court. Nice size hot tubs, and pools. Enjoyed the solarium! (Get there earlier to reserve yourself the best spot!) ice skating show was good and the two production shows where okay.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
the ukranian couple performing where great! A two broadway shows were very nice. there was always something to do. the midship of the ship was always busy and loud so you can find something to do

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
didn’t check out kids clubs but the waterslides and other activities seem fun

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
as a loyal princess cruiser where servers where over the top, here the service was mediocre and the staff seemed worn out and tired (all in all, nothing special)

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
the ship is stunning! it’s an older ship but it’s the perfect size! no where and tear (it’s maintained perfectly, very up to date). for some reason it felt so quick to get from the forward to the aft of the ship. with only two main stairwells and elicator shafts, the ship felt much easier and faster to get around as opposed to also having midship stairs. loved the design! easy to get around, and very beautiful ship!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
THIS WAS BY FAR TGE HIGHLIGHT OF OUR CRUISE!!! we loved loved loved this cabin!!! it was the price of a regular panoramic overview but it was double in size. got lucky with this one as there are only two of these cabins on the whole ship and the other one is for wheelchair assessable. right next to the stairs all the way forward. we had a public restroom just outside which was a little convenient. solarium just downstairs and buffet just a short walk away. 2 TVS!!! and the Pullman couch was amazing if you have three (or four ppl)! I would totally splurge on this room instead of being cramped in a small interior cabin. the closet was a very nice size. lots of desk space and drawers. no tub but we loved this room!! we’re worried of going back to smaller cabins because this was such luxury for us😅

Ship tip

i would encourage first time cruisers on the ship! it’s a good introduction to cursing. it’s not as bad as carnival and it’s not ass good as luxury lines but it’s a good in the middle cruise ship. the ship is beautiful but the food is mediocre (but if it’s your first time you would love it). I would suggest to just explore the ship and get on the helicopter pad when sailing away (it will most likely be closed on sea days and all other occasions so enjoy it while it’s open). make sure to take advantage of the solarium seating and check out the aft of the ship where the surfing simulator is! ride the water slides, walk the promenade! attend a show! be a kid, have fun:)) this ship is not as laid back and quite as other princess or other lines but it’s fun for the family. get a slice of pizza in the promenade (it’s always bustling down there at 11-12 at night. do the silent disco, use the jacuzzis!

Disembarkation

decided to carry off our luggage and the disembarkation was smooth and very quick. although the buffets as expected where very busy (the windjammer needs for seating!:)
