Review summary

This was my first cruise, and I'm so happy I went with the Navigator of the Seas. The whole experience was amazing and something I'll probably never forget.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation happened right about when I was eating dinner, so I didn't really notice until we were already out to sea.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
There was so much food to eat. The breakfast and lunch buffets offered a wide variety of food. From burgers and fries to dishes I'd never heard of before, this ship had it all. The dinner consisted of a 3 course meal. The menu for dinner changed each night so again there was a nice variety to choose from.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The pools were a bit crowded (which was to be expected) so I didn't really use them. There were plenty of hot tubs to relax in though. This ship had two water slides which were a lot of fun and let me embrace my inner child.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The highlight of my experience was the shows. Every night there was some sort of production going on, from drones to ice-skaters to music and dance. The shows were worth the entire price of the cruise IMO. My favorite was the Ice-skaters. They were absolutely fantastic.

Children's Programs

We didn't take our kids on this cruise.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The overall service was above average. The waiters during dinner, Dani and Iputu, did a great job tending to our table. Dani did tend to go above and beyond when the opportunity presented it self. However, out of the entire staff, it's worth noting that our room attendant, Milendra Maurya, was incredible. Any time he saw me or my wife walking down the hall, he would drop what he was doing and immediately and greet us. He would make sure that everything was perfect and we didn't need anything. His attention to detail was unquestionable. I work in hospitality for a company with extremely high standards, so it's hard to exceed my own expectations, however Milendra's level of service went well above and beyond anything I could've even asked. I believe that he deserves recognition for the amazing job he did every time I saw him.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship seemed very clean. I saw employees wiping down surfaces pretty regularly, and even with fears of Covid- 19, the staff did an exemplary job of keeping the ship safe and sanitized. The lay out was really kinda cool. There were plenty of places to meet people and socialize, however, there were also a few nice little places to go to escape the crowds. There were great views from pretty much anywhere on the ship as well.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was to be expected. We went with a simple internal one because there were so many activities to enjoy that we really only slept while we were in the room.
