Review summary

I would never go on this ship again due to very poor service from the staff, however the ship was beautiful and kept very clean. The itinerary was brilliant. Get better staff and it would be fabulous

Embarkation

1 out of 5
Waited over 4 hours to get onto the ship, not one member of staff gave a damn when we told them we had 2 diabetics in our party! No food or drink available in the very hot waiting area except a vending machine which was no good if you only had notes!!!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Service in the restaurants was very poor. We had to ask every time for potatoes and vegetables, main course portions were very small, we did notice an American party were ordering 2 of every course. Anyone hungry would struggle. One night we sat down at 7 for our meal, and still had not got dessert by 8:50 at which point we walked out.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
There didn’t seem to be a lot going on through the ship although there were dancing lessons by the pool. We didn’t go to any of the night time things as we were shattered by 10:30 and most of the activities didn’t start until 11:30. We were disappointed with the interactive cinema, very expensive for the time we were in there.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Stage shows very poor, usually consisting of one act, but the last night was excellent with a “cirque du soleil” type show.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
Our room steward was excellent and one member of staff, Babita Gc, in the Fantasia bar was very good, she remembered our order every time and was very pleasant and chatty. The rest of the staff I wouldn’t pay in buttons!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Beautiful ship and cleaners always going round keeping everywhere clean and tidy. Think the layout could be improved as things didn’t seem to flow, shops would be better on the same level as we found we had to go up and down stairs quite a lot for different things.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Don’t remember our cabin number we were on deck 10 I think, cleaned twice a day and our room steward made sure everything was ok.

Ship tip

Book excursions before you go, ask for double helpings at dinner (if you are hungry) most food served is cold, tell them you want it hot and keep telling them (although we did for a month and it never improved) order veg and potatoes with your main course or you won’t get them. Have a long siesta late afternoon so that you can be awake for the late night entertainment

We were charged €11 for the shuttle bus which took a very slow 1min 55 secs to take us off port. We could have walked the very short distance had we known and it was still a good 20-25 mins to the town
