We are so pleased with the Liberty of the Seas and Royal Caribbean. We loved the ship, the food was excellent, entertainment was top notch. I was expecting this to take forever...but was on the ship eating lunch in the Windjammer within 45 minutes of getting off the shuttle at the port.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
With the exception of 1 night at a specialty restaurant, Chops, we had dinner in the main dining room. The food and staff were outstanding! We had The Best waiters that treated us like kings! Chops was absolutely awesome! Windjammer for breakfast a couple of days and lunch the days that we ate lunch. Lots of variety and something for every taste!

Onboard Activities

We had a blast each day, all day! Would like to go again to do some of the stuff we missed...there is just so much offered.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Top notch entertainment each evening. Thoroughly enjoyed everything! I would say to go early to get good seats...totally worth it. Saturday Night Fever was probably my favorite, but loved the comedians/juggling act too...they were hilarious! It was all good stuff!

Children's Programs

Did not have kids with us

Service and Staff

Love. Love. Loved our dining room staff. Imarin and Selvin took great care of us and were so friendly, yet professional. Edna took care of our room, always a great job! I have nothing but positive things to say about all of the staff that we encountered.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Liberty was a beautiful lady! Very well taken care of, sparkly clean!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Although small, we were hardly ever in it so that really was not an issue to us. It was clean and surprisingly had lots of storage!

Ship tip

make the most of your day, peruse your Cruise Compass that is left in your room for the next day so you don't miss out on anything that you would be interested in. Don't be afraid to try something new. You can bring onboard 2 - 750ml (standard size) bottles of wine per stateroom. we had a glass while getting ready for dinner in the room. You can also take it to the dining room and they will serve it with your dinner. Bring extension cords in your carry on, you will need them. And a night light if you have an interior room...it is pitch black when you turn off the lights.

Love the first 2 parts of our excursion. Zip line, eco walk and beach break. When we got to the beach, we were bombarded with locals selling something. They literally were swarming around us and were very aggressive. The beach was absolutely beautiful but I would never go back. But the staff that were with us at the Zipline and Ecowalk were great!

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

This was a beautiful port and we had the Best guide for our excursion through Native Choice. Lorenzo i believe was our guide. Outstanding service, so impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. We did the Mayan Experience. We walked safely 4 blocks from the pier to their office. They had very nice buses and vans to take us to Chaccoben Ruins and then to the village to have a meal with a Mayan family. It was awesome! Highly recommend

We have been here before, so we just shopped at the port for a bit the. Back on the ship to enjoy the water slides while it wasn't so crowded. It's a Must to go to the Mayan Rum Cake place at the port shopping to get a rum cake! They also have the best Mexican vanilla.

Disembarkation

It was actually pretty smooth getting off of the ship. They are definitely a well oiled machine! From the time our group was called to in the car leaving the port was about 1 hour total.
