Review summary

We have cruised with 2 other lines, so we had the ability to compare.  Royal Caribbean is supposed to be good cruise company but some of their staff needs attitude improvement, I felt like they take the customers for granted.  No smiles, acting like they do not really want to be there.  I attempted to book my next cruise on aboard but when I tried, the person that assisted me, no name given, but she was a female, when I told her what I wanted, she told me a price that was higher than if I would use the internet, when I told her that, she brushed me off, and just told me to than use the internet, and I left,  Most of the shows where really good with the exception of the first day,  it was really boring, to listen 5 people sing out of tune,  Used the main dinner only once, the staff was really slow to serve us, I am not used to sit for 2 hours for a meal.  So we used the windjammer restaurant most of the time.  The burgers were undercooked most of the time, colorless and tastless.  All of the breads were cold.  The interior cabin was nice and clean, the attendant Liliana from Ecuador did a real good job to take care of our needs.  We really enjoyed the pared and the singing on the street with the large Christmas tree.

If you are the type of cruiser that does not make reservations for excursions you have to be ready to be disappointed because there are not much to do on the ports, In Cozumel the ship docks away from downtown in an area that is really under construction so there are not many shops out of the tourist area.  We did walked out but there are no stores in the area, very disappointing.  Same in Jamaica,  If you walk out f the fenced area, be prepared to be attacked by a bunch of people begging you for money, including drunks, be very careful if you do it.  The cayman island was the only port were you can really walk around and see lots of stores

You have to take the good with the bad,  overall we will recommend this cruise.

The casino a place where I spend lots of time, was really dirty, specially after 10 pm. the waiters concentrate in bringing drinks to people without taking the time to clean ashtrays or picking up empty glasses.

Ship tip

Be prepared to spend lots of time in lines, either to drop off people, luggage or parking, it takes at least an hour in each line, that is before you even get ready to check in.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

1 out of 5
The city of Galveston needs to improve their process for the handicap parking for veterans. There should not be a need to get out of the vehicle to obtain a parking sticker. The people that pays does not have to leave their vehicle.

Cozumel, Mexico

We enjoy shopping, but the boat docked away from downtown, really far away from most of the shops.

George Town, Grand Cayman

3 out of 5
Walking around the town was a nice experience. no worries. no bothers like in mexico and Jamaica.

Falmouth, Jamaica

2 out of 5
Stay away from walking around the little town.
