Review summary
Let me start the review by telling you I always sail Royal Caribbean and I went on Allure of the Seas in April. That being said . . . this was a small ship. :-) I had to put in perspective for this review. Royal Caribbean always has excellent staff, very clean ships, good itineraries. This ship lacked a few things in my opinion. The shows were very lackluster. Only 2 shows were the singers and dancers only. The other shows were comedians and jugglers. I look forward to the singing and dancing shows so this was a disappointment to me. Also, I found that staying on the ship during the day was rather boring. There were not alot of activities offered to folks that wanted to stay on the ship. We got out at every port, but came back at lunch and stayed on after that. We just hung around and played Scrabble most days. The My Time dining went very well with the exception of how the tables were set up. They are set up family style so there is about a 6" gap between tables making it impossible to have a private conversation over dinner. The food was good most nights. One chewy steak but otherwise very good. The Art Auction was very lacking. Not a great assortment of art and not alot of great deals for the not so rich and famous. Usually there are some lesser expensive options. This cruise did not have those. The excursions were great. They were as described and worth the cost. The staff were great - room attendant brought us ice everyday after we asked for it the first day. Little touches like that made the trip very nice. I would highly recommend Royal Caribbean - I would like to suggest a look at the entertainment all around on the ship though.

Ship tip
If you like to have a private-ish dinner, go to the Windjammer for dinner and walk out through the left doors and there is under the stars dining practically alone every night. Hidden jewel. :-)
