Bayou Cafe & Steakhouse on Island Princess

Great place to have a Pub lunch and speciality dinner.

Really good service and the food excellent

I did write some about this in main review. Most of my party got the filet. It was excellent and not a small portion! My wife added a lobster that she thought was dry. The sides were the downfall of this meal. The dirty rice was Spanish rice. The creamed spinach was spinach with cream poured on it. Not sure who came up with that but I could do better! The asparagus was good but nothing about it said Cajun. I had bananas Foster and again they need to improve on the recipe. I've had it in New Orleans and there is no comparison. If you are going to have it at least try to make it well!

Expected a little better service and food for an upcharge dining area.

Disappointing. I love NOLA and it’s food. Making it fancier doesn’t make it better.

Food was too salty and heavily seasoned. Not one out of four would return to the Bayou Cafe. Thankfully it was a free meal and did not come out of our pocket.

Had excellent filet.
