Review summary

Not the same experience as in healthier times, but still a nice break. Connect with the ocean, play some board games with your family, find a secluded spot on the beach or at the pool-I still recommend this cruise despite the different vibe.

So fast

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Not sure what was going on-usually really good-several times very overcooked, lack of seasoning-room service forgot sauces both times we ordered it.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
enjoyed the Flow Rider-staff there was very upbeat-great time

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Had sailed this itinerary several times the past few months-disappointed at the reduced entertainment but understood it may be due to illness or staff availability shortage-not upset with anyone-there were just fewer shows

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
always very good at RCI in my experience

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Appeared very clean but I witnessed a deck staff member take off his mask, sneeze on a chair, then put his mask back on and he kept walking

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Spectacular-I traveled with my three adult daughters-so much space-one daughter in particular loved the bunk bed cubby/room and took it over as her personal cave-breathtaking sunrises. Due to a sleep walker in our family we do not want a balcony-this was absolutely perfect for us. I imagine with young children it would also be wonderful and a safe choice without sacrificing the view. The two bathrooms were wonderful. I preferred this to the adjoining cabin option-it worked for us.

Ship tip

It's not the party atmosphere it used to be, and I miss dining and getting to know other families, but if you can put that aside, it is a wonderful break from all that is happening in the world and the staff seems very appreciative for your patronage.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Nassau, Bahamas

I would give the actual port 2 stars at this time as they are under construction and the street vendors can be overwhelming, but we always make our way over to Tiki Bikini Hut (10 min walk from pier-just take a right and follow the streets along the coast until you get there) and that proves to be a great time, every time. I usually don't buy souvenirs at beach-type ports but Carol right there at Tiki Bikini Hut quietly sits at her cement seat with her necklaces for sale-she is quite a character and is our reason as to why coming to this port is so fun... I recommend the jerk chicken dinner-enough to feed 2. If you are a drinker-they are strong and less expensive than the ship or other chain restaurants closer to the ship. Looks like a dive bar but the service and food is unbeatable in my option. Not the prettiest beach but really, really give it a try one time-it's just so wonderful every time for us.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Very clean, good food (better than the ship in my opinion-I recommend the BBQ chicken), and my favorite part is that we were the only ship in, at about half capacity, so finding a secluded area by the ocean or at Oasis Lagoon was easy. You could find the party if you wanted to-but we were looking for some distance and quiet and found it.

Disembarkation

10 min from leaving our cabin to getting in the Uber
