Review summary

This ship is a beautiful ship with great staff and service. I would recommend traveling with them just based on that. But the food was not as plentiful as you would expect. In the past there was always a buffet somewhere.

Embarkation

The process to get on the ship was horrible. The car line just to get to the terminal drop off took 2 hours just waiting in a parking lot. It was really easy to get our bags moved since we already had tags on the bags. But then the line to get checked in and on the boat took another 2 hours. It was ridiculous. Once we got on they were preparing for dinner service and there was hardly any food to be found.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The main dining room was fantastic. The staff took care of us and our food allergies and made us feel special every night. The buffet was not as good. The food was just so-so and all tasted the same. We also purchased the soda package, but the Coca-cola Freestyle machines were constantly out of soda. Fortunately, the ginger ale stayed stocked.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The activities on the boat were fun, but the times they would start the movies would always conflict with our dining time.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The ice show was amazing! I would recommend everyone see it. The other shows were good, but not great.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We loved our waiter, Hilton. He took great care of us every evening for dinner. Our room steward, Leida, was so sweet! She greeted us with a smile every morning when we left our room. She even went above and beyond when I lost an earring. She tore the room apart looking for it before she vacuumed and was able to find the earring.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was beautiful and in great condition. It felt very luxurious.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was a nice size for two friends traveling together. There was plenty of room for both of us and all of our stuff.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington Did not visit port

Juneau, Alaska

We did the Best of Juneau excursion and some shopping. It was so fun getting to see more than one thing in the town.

Skagway, Alaska

The White Pass Railroad is a beautiful trip up the mountain. As my friend said, "I feel like I'm in a postcard!"
