Review summary

Rough seas for the first day, great after that. The first sea day had all the outside decks closed, and although the Captain steered around the worst of the storm, quite a few people were seasick. Everything improved the next day, and the best was being a small ship which was the only ship docked at Coco Cay for our day there. The most crowded water slide had only a ten minute wait.

Embarkation

Very quick. Took care of all the required pre-cruise items through the app.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5

My Fair Lady Dining Room

5 out of 5

This was our preferred venue for most of our meals on this cruise. Liked the variety of the new dinner menus.

Chop's Grille

5 out of 5

An excellent dinner.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5

Casino Royale

5 out of 5

Didn't spend enough time here to give a star rating, but didn't encounter any issues so giving five stars as the review requires something. Never seemed to get too smokey for being the only interior smoking area.

Entertainment

5 out of 5

Orpheum Theater

5 out of 5

The Royal Caribbean entertainers had a few strong performers in their cast. The headliners were very entertaining.Even with a full ship, we had no issues finding seats for the early shows. The theater was well laid out and comfortable.

Children's Programs

My daughter enjoyed her time here.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
For a full sailing (2630 passengers, 800 of whom were kids), the ship did not seem that crowded, even when the outer decks were closed off due to the storm. The only time I noticed a crowd was at peak lunch time at Windjammer, or some lines to go into the Main Dining Room. All the common areas looked very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Quiet, except for some rattling from the motion of the ship. Good size for our group of three. The bed was very firm, more than I'm used to at home. One issue with the toilet clogging was taken care of in a reasonable time after we reported it.

Ship tip

I would not buy a coffee card for this ship from the cruise planner as the only specialty coffee shop was serving Starbucks coffee, so the card may not be usable here.

Ports of call

Bimini, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Great if you are a beach lover.

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
We took a tour of Nassau excursion, but think our time at the stops got cut short due to traffic congestion, largely due to construction around the port, and having six ships in port at once.

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
Visited the Space Flight Center. In addition to the exhibits they have a fun kids area with climbing areas and slides.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas
