Review summary

We will be cruising again on Enchanment and then later on Vision. We really enjoy RC cruises but still believe Celebrity to be one class above. Of course, this shows in the price.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easy boarding & no waiting

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Excellent food & service. However, we think Celebrity is even better!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Need more activities for adults and less 'marketing' activities

Entertainment

5 out of 5
First comedian was okay, but the Jugglers/Comedians were awesome in comparison. Dancers & singers were awesome as well.

Children's Programs

No kids with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our stateroom attendant, Reynaldo was fabulous! So helpful & friendly. Our main dining staff, Ida & Warren(?) were amazing. However when we did not receive the liquor that we bought on the first day of the cruise, the liquor store attendant was a bit rude and not helpful. We had to press to get the $180 dollars worth of liquor that was due to us. Of course they blamed it on the person who sold it, who was not there. Recommend allowing guests to pick up their liquor instead of 'delivering to room on last day'.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Areas were very clean but some wear and tear is showing.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
Cabin itself was great but we had a 'sewage' smell in our bathroom throughout the voyage. Complained on the first day and it seemed to get a little better once we set sail (and Guest Services did call us that night to follow up). But then it never left. We did not bother to complain again since it did not seem there would be anything accomplished.

Ship tip

Remember to bring 2 bottles of wine/champagne and 12 bottles (up to 17oz) non-alcoholic beverages with you so you save a little money.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland Did not visit port

Not much to see; just boarding the ship. Lots of construction on 95 in this area.

Charleston, South Carolina

3 out of 5
Was too busy watching the World Cup match on the ship to do much exploring here.

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
We went to the Kennedy Space Center & it was fantastic! Will do this again as you cannot possibly see everything in one visit.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

Went to the Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach resort using Resort for a Day. Lovely resort. Great beach & pool. Lot of good food & drinks included. Beware the cab drivers. They try to make you pay 'roundtrip' so you are stuck using them both ways. You do NOT have to do this. Our cabbie (Alma) tried to get us to go back to the ship at HER convenience, not ours. She was rude, pushy and a bully! We said 'No thanks' to her and used a different cabbie for the ride back to the ship.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Fastest disembarkation ever! We used self-assist as we were driving home. Off the ship at 7:35am
