Review summary

I would have to say that this cruise was disappointing compared to others I have enjoyed on Royal Caribbean cruise lines. The staff was excellent, but the food was poor and the ship is showing its age.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Easy, fast and smooth

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Generally I have found Royal Caribbean to be the best cruise line for food. This one disappointed.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Besides the pools, which were curtailed by bad weather, the only other place to get out was the rock wall, but it too was closed almost the entire time. This meant that events like trivia were so crowded that only a few could participate.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
DJs and pop-up musicians were great. The big shows were not so good.

Children's Programs

Did not have young children in our group.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff were the highlight of the cruise! Very friendly, helpful and accommodating!!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was very clean and the staff worked hard to keep it that way. Nevertheless, the ship is getting old and compared to others, it just cannot complete with venues and amenities.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Clean but getting old.

Ship tip

Don’t go on this ship for a long cruise or need ways to entertain while at sea.
