Review summary

Wet on three night cruise to celebrate my wife's birthday, picked this Royal Caribbean cruise because it best fit our schedule and in our ten previous cruises we had yet to sail with Royal Caribbean.

Food and restaurant staff were both very good as was housekeeping and other staff in general.

Biggest reason for lower rating was the stateroom, we had a balcony stateroom on deck seven, handle latch at sliding glass door to balcony was broken and secured in the "open" position, door was secured with a simple hook and eye system like what was used on screen doors during my childhood.  This indicated not only a lack of proper maintenance but also a lack of care and pride in their product.

In addition the woodwork in the cabin was worn with finishes gone so that raw wood was exposed.  Also the bathroom had a persistent bad smell that we seldom experienced on previous cruises.
