Review summary

This was our first 11 night cruise - which was fabulous! The Celebrity staff was great, the ship was beautiful and the food selection, if you went hungry it was your own fault. Loved the bakery, the fresh pizza and ice cream. Our favorite was the Martini Bar/Crush. We are ready to go again. Find me a great deal on Summit for next May/June and we are in! Thank you Celebrity for a great vacation.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Went very smooth. We were able to board early and had expediated embarkation due to "concierge" upgrade.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Excellent selection of food and service in the main dining room and oceanview café. We did not eat in any of the specialty

Crush

5 out of 5

Crush/Martini Bar - Ten stars. I thought the martini menu would be a little larger. I gave them a recipe for pineapple upside down martini (which I had numerous ones) - you need to add to the menu. Staff was EXCELLENT

Oceanview Café

5 out of 5

Oceanview Café offered a great variety of food for breakfast and lunch. Loved the bakery, fresh pizza and ice cream.

Cosmopolitan Restaurant

5 out of 5

Food and staff were five stars. Dinner was a real treat to go to each night. So glad to see that "dress up night" are being down played.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We spent some pool time on the first port so we were able to get chairs

Guest Relations And Excursions

4 out of 5

I went to guest services to get my internet services up and running. Very helpful. I was surprised that they had no information on the trolley service in Boston. It was right outside the port. The people in the port was able to assist and offer information.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Went to two shows with both being very good

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Five stars - we received excellent services from all of our wait staff that included room steward, main dining and the martini bar

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This ship was just re-furbished and everything was beautifully designed/

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Five stars - the room was compact but everything was good. The bedding was wonderful.

Ship tip

Please be nice to all of the staff - they work so hard and deserve a hello or good morning when passing in hall or in the cafe.

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey

5 out of 5
Port was easy on and easy off. Staff was very well trained to handle a lot of people especially on boarding day. Would use this port again. I would suggest to book a hotel the night before and have a shuttle take you to the terminal. It was a little hectic drive to NJ, about 4 hour drive for us.

King's Wharf, Bermuda

3 out of 5
Pretty port, mostly t-shirt shopping. We planned to take the ferry over to Hamilton but it was raining. I would have rather spend an extra day in Bar Harbor, much more to do.

Boston, Massachusetts

4 out of 5
Boston was very pretty and clean. We took the on and off trolley and it was a great way to see the city. The guides had a lot of great details on the city.

Bar Harbor, Maine

5 out of 5
Bar Harbor is a beautiful port. Would have like more time to explore. There was another cruise ship in port so it was very busy. The folks working in Bar Harbor are wonderful and very happy when the ships are in port.

Portland, Maine

4 out of 5
This is our third visit into Portland. Commerce Street is a very nice shopping area with a range of restaurants. We spent a small amount of time at this port.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We have a late disembarkment and got to wait in the Sushi restaurant for our number to be called. The port people were very organized and it was easy off.
