Review summary

This was my fifth cruise with celebrity and I have noticed small reductions in quality on each cruise.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Quick processing and luggage arrived quite quickly too.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food in the Blu and main dining room is good with attentive service. Ocean view cafe offers a good buffet variety but finding a seat is a problem at peak times.

Cafe al Bacio and Gelateria

4 out of 5

Would give 5 starts if three were more seats available. This is one area that needs to be expanded.

Oceanview Cafe and Bar

4 out of 5

Bar is good. Not enough seating. Floor tends to get slippery.

Blu Restaurant

4 out of 5

Nice restaurant, not too big. Good service. Quality of breakfast preserves has been reduced. Pity it isn’t open for lunch as well.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Not enough activities, too many quizzes and sedate activities. Need to have some more stimulating options e.g. golf simulator or clay or target shooting simulator.

Online@Celebrity

3 out of 5

Overpriced slow service.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Ship main entertainment dancers, singers and aerialists were good. Guest performers apart from one were generally below average in my opinion.

Sky Observation Lounge

4 out of 5

Good venue for the entertainment. Prefer this location to the Grand Foyer which has a lack of seating and poor layout for entertainment.

Celebrity Theater

4 out of 5

Good view from all seats. Not enough waiters to take drink orders.

Children's Programs

No kids.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All the staff I had contact with were friendly and helpful.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship is due a refit next year. Generally ok but insufficient seating in the ocean cafe. Electrical outlets in cabins need upgrading with USB sockets.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Ok but limited storage space for two people.

Ship tip

Don pay the extortionate up-charge for the specialty dining options.

Ports of call

Honolulu, Oahu

4 out of 5
