Celebrity Solstice

7 Night Alaska Tracy Arm Fjord (Seattle Roundtrip)

Sail date: September 07, 2018

Ship: Celebrity Solstice

Cabin type: Balcony

Traveled as: Couple

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Review summary

Overall, the staff and level of service were good. We also enjoyed our dining experience, except the wine. The Solstice is clearly in need of refurbishment. It is distasteful to constantly be nickeled and dimed as you walk the corridors Felt like a straw market. What a shame for all the money we spent to sail on Celebrity.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was outstanding but wine selection is not good. The premium package included very mediocre wines that cost $15-$20 a bottle off ship.

Quasar

1 out of 5

Always empty. They need to he more creative with music/dance offerings

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Lots of activities but unfortunately many if them are a set up for a sales pitch.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Many of the dance venues go unused. They need specialty clubs like salsa, jazz, etc

Sky Observation Lounge

2 out of 5

Mostly empty amd closes early. They need to he more creative with music/dance offerings
