Review summary

Cruise was great. Everything was topnotch. The ship was beautiful and very clean. Staff was efficient, very helpful and very friendly. Everything was very organized and getting on and off was as easy at could be with that many people. Our balconey cabin was clean, comfortable, plenty roomy and had lots of storage. Even the hair dryer was very good. The bathroom was small, but very well designed with good storage and a great shower. Sit down dinners were great... maybe too good. Plan on gaining some weight. We had an 8:30 sitting and were never rushed. We were often some of the last to leave. Buffet was very good and well organized. We never visited the pay-for restaurants. No need. Drinks were good and pricing, while a little high, was on par with what you pay at good restaurants. On board entertainment was plentful and good. The naturalist on board, Brent Nixon, had excellent presentations on whales, bears, orcas and more. he was extremely knowledgable and tremendously entertaining. Obviously loves what he does and very concerned about wildlife and the ecology. We were very lucky and had perfect weather for shore excursions. We saw whales, bears, rain forests and glaciers. Flew on a float plane, helicopter and walked on a glacier! Loved it all! Cost a lot, but worth every penny! Overall, it was perrfect cruise. Would travel on Celebrity and certainly the Solstice again!

Limited time ashore. Did get off ship until after 6pm to clear customs so daylight was short. Couldn't see much.
