Service and Staff

My wife and I just completed our cruise to Alaska on the Solstice (Sept 15 - 22). We already completed the online survey but want to amend our comments and recognize an individual that went above and beyond and made our cruise very memorable. My wife attended the cooking class given by the head chef in the Murano. What she did not realize was the class included a very nice luncheon. The meal was delicious and when I returned to get her, I was invited to enjoy the delicious desert. We decided to make a dinner reservation the following night and the chef asked us to ask our waiter to let him know when we arrived. Well, when we arrived, although the was very busy with another event, he came over and welcomed us. He asked what we ordered. When my wife ordered the lobster tail, he told the waiter to cook her a second tail. She was in heaven since lobster is her favorite meal. Then he asked what we ordered for desert. Since we had not ordered yet, he said he will get us a special desert that is not on the menu. That desert was actually a sampler plate of 6 individual deserts. Wow. This was our second Alaska cruise with Celebrity but the effort he made to make sure we had a great time was above and beyond any expectation we had. We will always remember the two days last week and needless to say, we are telling all of our friends about it.
