Review summary

We enjoyed our cruise. It was relaxing and pleasant. We were somewhat disappointed with the evening meals quality and selection. Staff were great, always helpful and courteous. Ports of call required ship sponsored excursions to get away from the ports. Most of the excursions were expensive and none seemed designed to accommodate older less mobile cruisers.

Embarkation

Just a whole lot of walking from drop off area to ship. Had to stop at several check points and staff and passengers both seemed confused and unnecessarily slowed things down due to covid requirements. Gangway led up to deck 5 up ramp after ramp after ramp.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We have been on at least 10 cruises. Food was average but we enjoyed breakfast. I understand the pressures they are facing but dinner selections and quality were generally below expectations.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

WE did not attend.

Children's Programs

no children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff were all helpful and kind and provided excellent service.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was clean and well maintained. We particularity liked the open deck area at the front of the oceanview cafe where we could eat outside.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The cabin was nice but only had 1 easily available outlet located at the desk, really inconvenient, especially if you use a cpap.

Ship tip

It seemed that everyone on board was just there to sit around with a mixed drink in their hand. So if that is what you like this was the cruise for you..

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

3 out of 5
Industrial port area. Nothing to look at there.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
Really nice port of call.

Castries, St. Lucia

4 out of 5
Took an bus excursion. It was enjoyable and informative, Island is really hilly and roads are winding.

Bridgetown, Barbados

3 out of 5
Did not get off ship. Port is heavy industrial area. Not very visually pleasing or quiet.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Staff was helpful and disembarkation was quick and easy. It's amazing the difference the eye scanners make at security. The down side of this is that cruise line had us off the ship by 8:30 a.m. big very early rush the day of disembarkation. The opposite to an end of a relaxing vacation.
