Review summary

Loved equinox, loved celebrity as always. When this CORVID-19 passes & life returns to normal (fingers-crossed), I recommend a week aboard Equinox!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easy & Fast. Facial recognition makes embarkation a breeze.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Very good food, especially specialty dining. We ate twice at both Murano & Tuscan Grill, as well as once in Qsine. All three were good, with Murano being superior. Qsine was not as corny as I expected- it was "cute" & the food was good- I'd recommend going once.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Lots of trivia!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Loved them all.

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All service aboard was top-notch. Even when bars, for example, were busy, service was speedy & friendly.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Equinox is a beautiful ship. Already 11-years old, she doesn't show her age very much, as they keep her so well-maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Normal-sized cabin with a great view. Very clean & well-maintained. There are MINOR signs of the ships age, but not worth mentioning. Bed was very comfortable & linens are soft, clean & comfortable.

Ports of call

Samana, Dominican Republic Did not visit port

DR did not clear Equinox to allow visitors until well after we'd given-up & sailed on, about 4PM, due to the CORVID-19 pandemic.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
We paid for the "Exend-Your-Stay" option & it is not yet perfect. If your outgoing flight is late in the day, this is an option, but it is clunky. You need to diembark, then re-embark & must leave your luggage. I'm sure they will iron-out the "clunkiness" of the process over time. Still, extend-your-stay is preferable than sitting at FLL for hours on end if you have a later-day flight.
