Review summary

Our family group of 14 ranges from age 6 to 74. All of us found things that thrilled us on the ship and in ports too. The ship is a busy place full of entertainment and special interest offerings. Loud parties, quiet cubbyholes for the introvert. We enjoyed the ship, the staff, and the sea!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service staff was excellent on every level. Matt is an amazing cruise director... funny, helpful, sincere and showing up everywhere! Our cabin steward JAN is very thoughtful, available, accommodating. His staff was the same. Our needs were always met. The dining staff was excellent.... MARVIC, MARK, and KEITH served us every night consistently, professionally, and helpful. They made us feel at home and served a family of 14 with great grace. Overall the dining staff on every shift was well modulated and always upbeat while serving thousands of meals. Ricardo in the mornings was almost too friendly! Wish I could remember more names. All the staff was impressive.. always speaking in the halls, helpful to answer questions, and professional.,

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Every area of the ship was so clean and constantly being cleaned, freshened, swept.... we were surprised how well maintained it is . The design is great for multiple ages. The noise level is unbearable at times. But there is always a quiet part of the ship. Serenity Club needs a floor that is not so hot in the midday. The ship could use a quiet room for yoga and meditation for sunup and sundown. A quiet time of group classes for yoga.

Ship tip

Bring less clothes than you think you need. Lanyard with clear case and extending cord is a bonus, but a clip on your belt is easier. Don't try to do everything. So much is available, you have to pick and then remember some freeeee time.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Do not try to fly in to Miami, get on a shuttle and go straight to board the ship. Stress level isn't worth it. Give up a few bucks and come in the night before!

Grand Turk Island

Walk off the dock and go Right instead of Left like the crowd. Shops are fun and the people need the money. Buy something and then walk the beach farther than the crowd goes! Beautiful.

La Romana, Dominican Republic

We took a tour to a beach... 40 min boat ride each way, shallow pool good for photos, 5 and a half hour tour with very good buffet on the beach included. Eladio was a good director. The tour description said there was no food, but there was a great buffet.

Willemstad, Curacao
