I like Carnival Cruise because I’m a loner and this cruise allows me to check a 100 things out, do excursions, karaoke, dance, and rest in peaceful bliss when tired. People are people, so I don’t expect anything more, and so I am happy when surprised.

I did the drink package and everything went smoothly. I don’t recommend The Alchemy Bar, but The Blue Iguana is wonderful. Bottle water at every meal was welcome surprise.

It was comfy. I was expecting a bunk bed because of the picture, but I got this little quiet alcove. If there is a little alcove room with a balcony I would love to know about it.

Even if you order early for the excursion they can cancel at any time. So have a plan b, c, and d
Lots of photo ops. I did the Blue Hole Cenote excursion and it was AWESOME!!!!! The journey was so worth it. Beautiful and eerie and sacred all in one.
There are a lot of typical places to shop, but I could care less about that part. It’s all about the artwork and the adventure here! Check out as much as you can. Bring sunscreen and DEET based insect repellent, but be warned if you do excursions in sacred sites, you will have to remove it. There are hornets, black and white wasps, biting flies, and really cool looking ants the further out you go.

There are a lot of different foods to whet your appetite or completely fill it. Shrimp escabiche is delicious, but like ceviche can be... a curse from the gods. Lol if you get what I mean. Anything with El Jimador is going to keep the party going. Tequila and Squirt in a ceramic mug is wonderful!
