Review summary

Everything was fabulous! The wait in the restaurant (Winston early) was longer than usual but everything was really good! I would like to tell you of an incident with our waiter, Igor. We recently returned from our cruise where an incident occurred that literally brought tears to my eyes and blessed my heart beyond belief. Ordinarily I would not have noticed this but working at ASAP has brought a new awareness to the needs of people. There was an elderly couple at dinner at the table behind us every evening and she was in a wheelchair. Her husband rolled her in the first evening and was going to move her chair and roll her to the table. Our waiter (Igor) saw the situation and jumped to go to them. He grabbed the handles of her chair and rolled her back a little, locked her wheels and helped her stand. He pivoted and offered her his arm. He tucked her arm in his and escorted her to the table and graciously and gently seated her. Her head held high now, her esteem and worthiness boosted she immensely enjoyed her meal with her husband. He was smiling and enjoying the difference in his wife. This considerate and kind gesture from this young man made a huge difference in many people that night and others to follow. Let all of us become more aware of the needs of those around us and be the one to their aid

the band (not sure of name) Music Boardwalk was the highlight of the cruise for us. It was excellent oldies of the 60"s on deck 5 where couples our age gathered every night. We met a wonderful group of people through it. I would travel again with them onboard singing!

the only thing we did not like is the fact they cleaned the balconies on the only mornings at sea when we could enjoy them instead of the mornings we went ashore.

The part quite a few on our tour bus was very upset with was a stop at the old fort. The sales people were very, very, very aggressive, rude and made many angry.

I agree! Valor had wonderful staff just 2 weeks ago! Could not pronounce room stewards name but sounded like Super so that's what we called him. He was excellent!! I think they all enjoy their job and get paid and topped well. At least they told us that. They actually did make the trip by making us feel at home and like family! Igor sounds amazing as well. Thanks for sharing warming thoughtful experience!!

We sailed on the Valor in Dec 2015 and Igor was our waiter. We have had many wonderful waiters before but he is number one with us. It would be awesome if we could have him on all of our future cruises. He made our cruise and dining experience that much more enjoyable. Can we adopt him?

You should tell Carnival Carnival really does cherish their Cruisers opinion the good and the bad mostly they hear the bad not very often I hear the good the main reason we Cruise Carnival it's because of people like Igor in the great room attendants they have as far as I'm concerned and we've taken 12 cruises in The Last 5 Years Carnival has the best staff as anything other Crews
