Review summary

It was Wonderful! I can't wait to do it again. My wife who didn't think that she would like a cruise is now looking at how long it will take us to get to Diamond. We both loved it, it was the most relaxing vacation that we have ever taken. The staff was exceptional and were always happy to help you in any way that they could. This was our first cruise of many, and we hope to book another one as soon as Feb. 2023. Thank you to the Carnival staff for making our vacation great!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Check in went flawlessly and we were enjoying an incredible lunch on the ship way before embarkation time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
All of the food options were wonderful, but staff was even better. Especially our waiters, George Yuda and Afif! They were great and made us feel like royalty. It was apparent that the staff was working hard to provide a clean/ safe environment.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We enjoyed Trivia and the Military appreciation ceremony. We aren't drinkers, so not much on the night life, but we did enjoy the serenity decks and how friendly everyone was.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the entertainment options, and the entertainers were very professional.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Are children are grown, but the children that we talked to seemed to enjoy it very much, especially the hidden rubber duckies.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We had early dining and we didn't really plan on going to dinner very often, but the staff was so wonderful and made it so fun, that we went to dinner every night. We had the best wait staff, and I would like to say thank you to Waiters George Yuda and Afif for making our trip so enjoyable. I think they both deserve a big promotion. They are wonderful!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship's layout was easy to manage, and we were able to figure our way around easily. The staff was constantly cleaning and taking the necessary covid precautions. I did actually get covid the day after getting home, but I don't blame the staff or carnival in any way, its just the luck of the draw. The staff was amazing and worked very hard to keep everything clean, wore there N95 masks at all times and took all possible precautions. I am looking forward to booking my next cruise with Carnival.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was much larger than I had expected, and the balcony was so relaxing. The room was kept very clean and sanitized.

Ship tip

Definitely go to the dining rooms for dinner and go to the sea day brunches. Ask for George Yuda and Afif for your wait staff if possible, they are exceptional and will make your cruise very enjoyable. and

Ports of call

Charleston, South Carolina

5 out of 5
The port was very easy to navigate, and parking was very close to the check in. I hate to see that Charleston will no longer offer Carnival the port after 2024.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
Very relaxing and beautiful beach

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
There was a lot of construction going on and the walk from the ship to our excursion shuttle was very long for my wife that has had both of her knees redone. But again, the staff was very helpful and wonderful to deal with.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
As much as I hated to see in come, it went very smoothly and efficiently.
