Review summary

Overall it was good. Great service, some good food, and entertainment. I would have spent one more day in Cabo vs going to Ensenada in the future though.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We were on the ship earlier than expected and were able to get into our room right at 1:30pm to get situated before embarkation. We had a glass of champagne on our balcony and watched the embarkation from our balcony.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The Chef’s dinner and Nick and Nora’s steakhouse were worth the extra money to dine. The food was delicious and you got a lot for what you paid for. The main dining room for dinner and brunch was also pretty good. Service was great. I was not a big fan of the buffets or the set up of them. It was a little confusing how they were lauded out between all of the seating and the pool areas. I didn’t eat much of the buffets, but my husband did like the Guy Ferrari burger bar.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The pools were small, and hot tub areas were smaller. We did not end up spending any time in the pool because it was colder and breezy on the cruise and the adult pool was crowded. We did enjoy the casino and the comedy shows and talent shows. We also enjoyed the marriage show and bingo. The bars were great as well and had some good musical entertainment. I also had a massage at the spa that was really nice. We also played mini golf, it was nice they had that.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Again the shows were good in the main theater and we enjoyed the comedy. The main bar had some good performers as well.

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
They were great. Friendly and accommodating!

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
It was a smaller ship than I’ve been on but the layout wasn’t bad. Everything was easy to get to. The only thing I would do different is the buffet layout. It was a little crowded and confusing on where to get what and all of the seating so spread out.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was a bit dated, but the size and space of it were great. We did not feel too crowded and enjoyed the extended balcony.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

4 out of 5

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

5 out of 5
Great, we even saw some whales when arriving and sea lions when leaving. It was a little windy and chilly for the beach, but we still had fun.

Ensenada, Mexico

3 out of 5
I would not visit here again, unless I did the beach maybe. Not a lot of shopping and TONs of kids trying to sell you things and would follow you and beg for you to buy them. It was more of a city feel here and we prefer the beach more.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Easy and fast again.
