Loved the ship..but what happened to service?

We LOVED the carnival magic..my husband had never been on a carribean cruise and I had been on many,,but not at these ports of call..and I decided to do Canival..and that was a great choice..as I found out that I was actually a GOLD member,,I got a pin..free drink the last day and a bottle of water that never got delivered..mainly cuz my room steward only came in the morning and that was it..we had a choice of morning or evening..he did a great job and made us great towel animals..lol..but no turn down service..chocolates are gone..no special treats..that stunk..as far as the ship and the crew and cleanliness..excellent..no complaints at all..except the cruise director..he talked too much..too fast and although we saw him around..he was always on the intercom..singing..and at the end of the cruise he was trying to sell his iTunes version of his song..OMG..i will never get that song outta my head..lol..he should slow down

the food was great..except 1 meal for me..i LOVED the burritos.excellent service..and delish..my husband loved guys burgers..the bbq spot..hardly open and RUDE workers..especially the big tall guy..we didn't even get bbq sauce..we flew outta there..the lido was crammed every morning..typical..room service 3 times..and they forgot us once..lol..but they brought it up when we called

the service at the dining room is lacking..there use to be a few people at a table..not anymore..no linens..no individual service although the girl once cut the meat off my ribs..lol..plates not removed promptly or even when needed sometimes..u filled your own water..just really lacking the quality of service u use to get..now brunch is excellent and they really cater to you..and its not that I want to be treated hoity toity..but when I ask for water and they pour some out of a bottle from the next table and the ice is melted..its like..I need to say //sorry for the inconvenience!lol..they had a magician who basically went to the same table next to us every night and never turned to us or engaged us..really weird..and we were a nice table..lively happy people..lol..i cant say anything bad about our room..or the decorations..beautiful..service desk..fantastic people..shore excursions..very helpful..they need more older things.. for older people..stairs can be treacherous for them..and I saw some people struggling on shore excursions..value for your money/pretty good..Id go to Puerto rico again..i guess id visit all the ports again but id like to see other ports too..we loved the trip and the transfers to and from the airport and check in and check out were like BUTTER..oh..and hit the Italian resteruaunt..excellent food..15 a piece..steak house is too expensive and u can get steak at the dining room..oh..the music..the shows..the violins..the jazz..the comedy club..wonderful..but why is karaoke in the corner of a small pub?when they had it in the lounge it was packed..so they need to re visit that too//overall a great trip
