Review summary
Our first cruise was on the Carnival Conquest which is a smaller ship than the Magic. We were very impressed with just how much bigger and better the Magic was to our previous cruise experience. The water works area, the entertainment, the casino..everywhere was in great condition and impressive. I got to try out the Redfrog Pub for the first time and enjoyed the Thirsty Frog draft beer. We chose to select another interior cabin but this time had 2 adults and 2 teenagers all crammed in together. This is not something I would recommend to anyone as the cabin is already small enough without additional challenges. In hindsight, we should have booked two interior cabins to give ourselves some space. Having read so many bad things about Belize, we decided not to take the tender ashore. The tender takes at least 20 mins. If you are a scuba diver, Belize is a great place to dive. We were told that there is really not much beyond manufactured tourist traps on shore at the port any going outside of that area is not considered to be safe. We stayed on board that day and enjoyed the ship without the crowds.

Ship tip
With more people on board, it is important that you arrive early for comedy or other shows in order to get a good seat. On sea days, be sure to eat in the Main dining room instead of Lido as the food is much better than buffet. Also, buy faster to the fun whenever possible for priority boarding
