Review summary

People come to relax, drink and eat. Making eating and drinking easy and enjoyable! Make it easier for people to love EVERY aspect of their trip. The food/drink seems like an easy layup but this cruise was run the worst in this area. But aside from that, we had a great time. We would give Carnival another go when the Legend comes out of it's update.

Embarkation

quick and easy. super friendly team.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Steakhouse was delicious Dinning room was run very efficiently. Buffett needs work. More self-serve needed. Lines were incredibly long. Service is not efficient because you need more staff. Omelette station should have 6 pans going at all times. There should never be a wait for pizza! There should always be pizza out! You shouldn't have a single person cutting slices of 8 different cakes for 15 people who are waiting. The food itself was mediocre, heavily salted and nothing I'd ever come back for.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Loved everything except the lack of hot tubs for adults.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The performers were excellent. So many fun shows!

Children's Programs

we didn't bring children with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was wonderful but they were overworked and understaffed.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
the Lido deck needs an overhaul. so many lines. not enough self-service. not enough food options. I ended up eating at Chopsticks every day because I could get through that line the quickest but my ankles paid the price with all of the salt I consumed. Otherwise, I could easily get from one end to the other for activities. They gym was great! Access to the front on deck 3 was a real treat. So peaceful and quiet away from the crowds.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
our balcony cabin was excellent. plenty of storage and it felt spacious compared to other cruises. It was tidy but hadn't been deep cleaned in a while. there was dust everywhere and some of it was thick. Bed was comfortable. We slept very soundly. The HVAC wasn't working well.

Ship tip

The handling of both the medical emergency and the engineering issues were done with great professionalism and speed. I never once felt nervous and was happy with how the situation was handled including the compensation provided not just to us but those impacted on the outbound who lost a day.

quick once we were able to figure out where to go. The cruise director seemed frazzled trying to heard cats but Dustin's smile never faltered!
