Review summary

This was my least favorite cruise. The cruise director wasn't very visible or interacting with everyone. We had late disembarking in Cozumel and back at Galveston without an explanation. We had hardly any announcements regarding anything. The one thing we had is a few new cruisers who weren't totally aware of ship time and shore time and without reminders and had they not been with us more seasoned cruisers would have possibly had some issues. The lack of activities during at sea days were a negative along with some planned later in the evening such as Love and Marriage game being played at 10:15 p.m. at night on a port day made me think this wasn't a very well planned cruise ship.

Embarkation

There wasn't a lot of organization. We were on the priority boarding and two people we know just walked in with us through the boarding and the priority room and onto the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Food and drink was awesome. We did the chef's table and what a treat that was. If you get a chance splurge and do the chef's table.

Onboard Activities

The activities on this ship were minimal. This was my 6th cruise and this was the worst. If you aren't into art there wasn't a lot to do during the day. The Love and Marriage game which I love to watch was scheduled for 10:15 pm after a day at a port. Now this involves newlyweds, couples married for a bit (usually 40/50 years olds) and a senior couple. Now how many senior couples are you going to get to stay up and participate at 10:15 at night. Ridiculous. I didn't stay up to go. Hardly ever saw the cruise director. Could hear him occasionally and wasn't as visible as other cruise directors I have seen. I do think a cruise director can make a ship. This one wasn't visable enough and didn't do enough mingling with all groups.

Entertainment

it was okay...nothing spectacular.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
As always the staff and service was great. Hard working individuals. My only complaint is we only saw the steward on the first day and not afterwards. Our friends had stewards who were more involved.

Disembarkation

Held up because of an immigration thing which put a lot of us at risk of missing planes and other departures.
