Review summary

We had a great time.  I took my 95 year old father, WWii, Korean, and Veitnam Vet for the Veterans week cruise.  My sister and her daughter, my son and his girlfriend and one of dads long time survivng friend and her friend.  Then a couple people from my meetup came as well,

We had not all got the early dining option on our booking but I sent a letter to the special assitance carnival group and to my matrde freind on the Magic and asked that we all get seated for early dining, 10 person table in front of dining room so that we could get dad there on his scooter easy.

On my arrival, I found that had all been accomplised and we all had the same table number assigned and it was a great table.  Houston our head waiter was fun too.

We had a great time all cruise, we would get the big table by the RumBar on Lido each day and all enjoy breakfast and events and play spinniners.  We pretty much donminated that table during the day.

In the evenings after dinner we enjoyed acitivites on Deck 5 and on Veterans Day we went to the Vets event on the lounge.  Dad was so happy to have people come talk with him and they got everyone on stage to take a picture of all the Vets.

We had a great time and dad is still wearing his lanyard with his sail n sign card and his Veterans tag and his Jamaci Jack dog tag he got while we were ashore.  He lives in a senior center and is telling everyone about it.  He bought a nice blue Jmacia shirt to wear to remind himself and others how much fun he had.

This was my 8th cruise this year, 7 of them on Carnival.

My father 2nd cruise this year.

We are ready to go again so I have booked three for 2017 and 1 for 2018 already....

Handicap cabin right off the Lido deck pool. Makes it so nice when dad is using a scooter to not have to go up and down elevators until dinner time ... Cabin steward was great. I felt bad he had to change dads sheets almost every day but he did a great job.

Ship tip

I have been on the Freedom several times. One feature I really like is that the hot tubs are in the same middle area as the main pool and acitivites.
