Review summary

My wife and I did a photoshoot for our recent wedding (this was our Honeymoon), and the photographer made us tear up when we saw the video of the pics he took. Although this is an older ship, it is VERY well kept, and we had such an amazing time! Thank you to ALL the staff for making us feel at home and like FAMILY.

Embarkation

It was super fun!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Everything we ate, all drinks we were served were top notch. The formal dining room was very comfortable, and the staff was phenomenal. We had one particular lead server "Su", who always called us by name, and was so attentive and on point. The mixologist in the bar on the very back of the ship was amazing. Very professional and the drinks we awesome!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We played Bingo and had a blast (Edgar) was hilarious and made it super fun. We had fun in the casino. It took us some time and money to figure out the slot machines, but figured it out. The pool was super small, but a friendly atmosphere. My wife and I HAD to do the water slide.. once, just to say we did.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All the shows, performers, karaoke, and all the entertainment was super fun. Ami who ran karaoke made it a blast!

Children's Programs

We don't have kids that accompanied us on our cruise..

Service and Staff

We would both like to give a shout out to I Nyoman (our Stateroom Attendant). From the moment we stepped in front of our room, he called us BOTH by name, and told us if we needed anything, to call him. It seemed like every time we went to our room, he was out in the hallway working, and he always greeted us by name. Although he was always masked, we could always tell he had a smile on his face, and he was always so friendly. Please tell him that Jim and Julie said hello and THANK YOU! "Su" our lead server was awesome. We were never without every time we dined in the dining hall. Neil and Edgar were the best. Even their announcements over the ships intercom were hilarious and fun. Neil's tribute performance to the military was particularly touching and meaningful to Julie and I. I'm a retired Marine of 22 years, and her dad was a Purple Heart recipient. He did a very professional tribute, and it was a very emotional and respectful time. Thank you SO MUCH for that.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ENTIRE staff was super professional, always attentive, and on point. The cleanliness of the ship was beyond words. The fact that the pool was completely drained and cleaned each night, the decks were pressure washed, the ashtrays were never full, and their attentiveness and professional did not go unrecognized.

Cabin / Stateroom

We spent so little time in our Stateroom, but I Nyoman always seemed to keep it spotless and tidy (even we had only been gone for an hour). It seemed like he knew exactly when to clean. We never had to wait for anything.

Ship tip

Be patient and courteous with the staff. They are working non-stop to provide the very best service for EVERYONE. We saw many very rude and impatient people, and they seemed to take it out on the staff. Running a ship of over 2,000 guests HAS to be a lot of work! Just be patient and have FUN!

No excursion, just shopped around the local stores/booths.

Bimini, Bahamas

We visited the local shops, bars and beaches and we highly impressed! We went to a tiny local pub called Ebbie & Pats. Such a friendly place to relax.

I know that everyone has to go through customs, but I think if they opened the lower decks (at least one), it would have gone a lot faster. Customs kept letting anyone and everyone use the "Porter system" even if they didn't check bags. It only meant that if people jumped into that line, and get to the front of the line to go through customs. This isn't a Carnival issue. This is a Jax Port issue.
