Review summary

This was our first and last Carnival cruise. Even though the ports were beautiful, the food and shear number of inconsiderate guest on this cruise we will prefer to sail with another company

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation was smooth and fast

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Drinks were good, food not so much. Even dinners in the main dining room were sub par

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
There was a lot to do on the boat, there were times that there was so much going on that you had to pick one thing over the other and other times that there was nothing going on

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The live performances were amazing! This is something that Carnival excels at

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our stewards knew us by name the very first day!! The wait staff was very good as well

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
It took us the full 5 days to finally figure out the tricks to navigate the ship without having to cut through the dining room or walk down the halls of the staterooms

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Even though it was small it was functionalble and we had everything thing we needed.

Ship tip

The muster drill and de-embarkation felt very disorganized. Maybe have staff members direct the guest better

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

I suggest trying the Mamajuana! Beautiful pool with water slides.

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
Even though it is very small as far as shopping the beaches and water is breathtaking!! There is a pool located at this port as well for those who prefer not to swim in the ocean. I did find souvenirs were more expensive here versus the DR

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
It was disorganized getting off the ship. The announcement said to use the mid and forward elevators, so we used the mid. We couldn't even get out of the elevator because there was such a large mass of people. There was a staff member there but she was not directing people where to go, so my wife and I fought the crowd to find the end of the line. 30 minutes later when we made it back to the mid elevators other guest were being welcomed to just squeeze their way into the line.
