Review summary

Took my daughter and two grandsons (9 and 3) with me.  We had a cove balcony.  I liked the room but when traveling with my husband only, I prefer a balcony higher up.  The CD (Chris the Flying Scotsman) is just AMAZING!  He made the whole trip so much fun.  Food is okay, I think cruise food in general is not as good as it was 10 or so years ago, but I don't cruise for food.  I cruise for FUN and this trip was FUN, FUN, FUN!  Other entertainment was enjoyable also.  My young grandson is special needs and the photographers took extra time to get good pics of us and we so appreciate that.  Roatan is a great port if you just want to go to the beach - easy for kids.  We did the Altun Ha mayan ruins tour in Belize and I really enjoyed my older grandson getting some history lessons in while having fun at the same time.  We went to Mr. Sanchos, all inclusive, in Cozumel and I wish I was still there.  The Dream is a great ship, can't go wrong!

Food and Dining

Food good but not as good as it was 10 years ago. Not fond of the 'American Table' menu Carnival uses now. Still plenty to eat. Our waiter, Buana, from Indonesia, went out of his way to accommodate my grandsons and we will never forget him. In fact, my older grandson is now his facebook friend!

Entertainment

I've been on over 15 cruises and our CD, 'Chris the Flying Scotsman' is by far the best. He's a one man show himself! See him before he's gone on to bigger and better.

Children's Programs

9 year old grandson liked the program. 3 year old with special needs did okay but there were too many kids for him to stay long. Staff assured us he'd be looked after but I don't really think they did anything with him except sit him in a corner. It did give his mom a few hours to herself at least.
