Review summary

From start to finish, overall the cruise was fun and exciting Cruises are what you make of them. There is so much to do aboard the ship. Just wander about and throughout it. You're at a resort on water and don't forget to utilize the excercice equipment in the gymnasium.

Embarkation

Practically a breeze because we completed the online boarding and registration on the cruiselines website.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The Main dining room was fine. The Buffet dining on Lido was good up tu the point except for the beef and lamb meats were not cooked tender. These meats were tough at the Lido deck buffet.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
All sorts of activity throughout the ship.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We didn't attend the stage performance. However DJ Haze was very good and social.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was very attentive of our needs aboard the ship.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Maintained and cleaned very well.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Because we cruise often we decided once and for all to try this cabin type. This type of cabin is okay but rather small and just not comfortable enough. I did however request extra padding for my top bunk. The lower bunk slept better and was more comfortable than the top bunk. As for me, we'll stick with the Balconies and above types of cabins. They have more space and are much more like being at home

Ship tip

Explore the ship and acclimate yourself to it and have fun.

We did some sightseeing, and the beach aboard the Junkanoo Party Bus and Rum Mixology excursion. This excursion was booked thru Carnival was definitely one for the memories. My wife who is actually a non drinker decides she's gone take some rum punch shots. Of well she got toasted (drunk) on this tour. With the help of a couple from Indiana (We) brought her back to the ship after our outing on the beach at tours end Once we arrived back at the port they provided her with a wheelchair and rolled her all the way to our cabin. Security aboard the ship told me that she cannot drink anymore alcohol aboard the cruise, her drunks are cut off. I replied she doesn't even drink, I can't get her to take a drink with me at home. Okay yes, she did have a mild hangover afterwards but we had a Blast for the duration of the cruise.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Disembarkation

Smooth and rather quick except for one of our luggages was on a different turnstile resulting in more time to locate.
