Q: Does anybody have information regarding transport from Santiago to Valparaiso e.g. costs, modes of transport etc. I’ve seen that there appears to be regular bus/coach services; does anyone have advice regarding these and taking large luggage? TIA.

A: We had a private van and driver, supplied through the hotel back in 2011. If I recall it was a most pleasant drive. We saw a show on Netflix (somebody feed Phil)which highlighted Valparaiso as a food destination

A: Several years ago we made the trip utilizing a car and driver from Viator. The van was new looking and clean. We had the option of either hotel or airport pickup.

A: it is quite a distance, we need the same transfer in march. will most likely use the ship transfer even though expensive and usually time consuming.
