Magical. The town was clean and friendly. But the beaches were beautiful. We contracted with a boat driver to take us to the back lagoon for $10 for the two of us. Saw a Pygmy kingfisher and other birds, fishermen, and beautiful wetlands. I'm sure the shops were nice, but the outdoors sells this place.

I loved the food here. Went to a small taco shop out of port it it was cheap and very good. Then a coffee shop that was pretty good. I will love to go back here again.

The little town was very quaint and the walk on the beach beautiful. Easy to guide oneself around the town and the area so can understand why no excursions was offered.

Enjoyed a nice lunch on the beach. The weather was perfect for January. Would definitely go back if the opportunity presented itself. As I recall, the local beer was "Antartica".

Another favourite stop. We took a privatmboat tour into the little channels. More like the way we think of the Amazon. Reasonable, 15 each and a very small boat, just fits 6. Perfect.

Fabulous beaches. Make sure you walk around to the east and go around the corner. Bars with tables and chairs in the water. This port was a big surprise as to how beautiful the beaches were.

Not much of a stop but we did swim in the river where it is clean and somewhat safe. So now I can say I swam in the Amazon
