Barcelona, Spain overview

Barcelona is the cultural heartland of Spain, yet its first language is Catalan, the native tongue of the proudly independent Catalonia region. Stroll down the shady, tree-lined Ramblas between street musicians and elegant bistros. Then perhaps visit the venerable Gothic cathedral, Picasso Museum or enjoy the architectural genius of Antonio Gaudi's Church of the Holy Family.

Had 2 days in Barcelona before boarding oasis of the seas. We booked the hop on hop off city sightseeing bus which was great value for money seeing all the sights. We had also booked for Sagrada Famillia which is a must see. Amazing city just be carefull with valuables whilst out.

At the foot of Last Ramblas, near the boardwalk,Marina area is a monument to Christopher Columbus which has an elevator inside, from the top you will have a great photo opportunity of both the city and the port. Keep it in mind, can't rember how much it was but only a few euros.
