Out of San Juan

I'm currently looking into a cruise next summer out of San Juan. I've heard that disembarkation can be a nightmare (hours). Anyone with experience sailing out of San Juan?

I cruised out of San Juan years ago no problems

I love San Juan

I have disembarked from San Juan & didn't experience any unusual delays. It is a great port. Lots to see and do if you have time to explore.

Of course no one can guarantee how long disembarkation will take, but we’ve sailed round-trip from San Juan 5 times (and visited as a port stop a few times) and it’s never taken long getting on or off the ship. More than once we’ve found ourselves at SJU checking for an earlier flight home because disembarkation went so quickly.

We've disembarked at San Juan with no problems.

I sailed out of San Juan. Embarkation was easy about 1/2 hour. We did not disembark in San Juan, this cruise ended in England.

San Juan is a great town to visit. We spent a few days in San Juan before the cruise to see the city. Friendly people and great food. We had a very reasonable hotel in the Mira Mar district rite near the beach, We felt safe enough taking the bus into old town, we took a taxi back because it was very late when we headed back and the bus had stopped running.
