Review summary
Because the ship is new, there isn't much to complain about. The ships decor is quite muted, our room color was soft and beige, with minimalist style lamps and everything. The cruise was great but it just never felt like old times. I can't put my finger on it, it was just different. It was my first cruise in 3 yrs and I was a bit nervous, I admit that. Wonder is a nice ship, it's an Oasis class ship so if you've been on one before you will be at home on this ship. I had a great time, and I'll definitely cruise on Wonder again.Embarkation
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
Cafe Promenade
The promenade was just what I expected. No balloons on the first day though, no parades. But everything was there, just like the other Oasis class ships. The shoppes were pretty bare, not much to buy and the sizes were very limited. Ship was not full so the promenade was never very crowded.
Giovanni's Italian Kitchen
Great food, our server was incredible. This restaurant has pizza and a wine bar now. You will get a lot of food, and everything is very fresh.
Solarium Bistro
Everything here is served buffet style on this ship. On Oasis your meat selection was brought to you by the servers. On Wonder the Solarium Bistro is basically an upscale Windjammer with more attentive table service. Food was very good.
Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade
Great bar food and drinks. I ordered 1 cheeseburger for the 2 of us, the waitress brought out 2 plates with half a burger on each with fries. Nice touch.
English Pub
I got most of my drinks from the pub. It's called Cask and Clipper on Wonder. Good drinks, good service and plenty of seating.
Chops Grille
Ahhhh... Chops! Just go, just do it. This, steakhouse is more than just steaks, they have very good seafood and wine. I swear by the Branzino, mercy.... Just go!
Hooked Seafood
This was the worst meal on this cruise. I got The Royal Seafood Platter and it was NOTHING like the menu description. Everything was fried in a thick batter, and there was hardly any seafood in it. There was items on the plate that was not on the menu. The menu did not mention a batter, crawfish, it was just a big plate of fried batter. Other plates that I saw coming from the kitchen looked much better than mine, so I guess I picked the wrong item.
Windjammer Cafe'
Food was great, service was great. This place was lively every day, the greeters at the entrance danced, loud music was played all day. This Windjammer is the biggest in the fleet, so there are plenty of seats.
Sorrentos
FREE PIZZA! what else is there to say!
150 Central Park
Love the food, service, and ambience of this place. The Lobster Thermador was the best I've had on any ship so far
Onboard Activities
Solarium
Completely enclosed on this ship. Plenty of seating and water. Nice, quiet place to go and read a book. No loud music, no running around, just a nice adult place to go.
Entertainment
Aquatheater
The show was called Intense, and it was amazing! Very high energy, music, lighting, everything was great.
Focus Gallery
My only complaint for this place is that buying your pictures is very confusing. The touchscreen system they use is not user friendly. And they never have enough help, there was 1 person to help alot of people with questions. On the next to last night they had 4 people working and it still was a mess trying to get pictures. But I will say the pics came out great.

Ship tip
Have your negative covid test in your hand at embarkment. That's the first thing they ask for when you get there.
