This one-night cruise was a great way to sample the cruise experience and see if this type of a vacation is right for you. It is not really possible to experience everything on board in such a short amount of time, but we prioritized what we wanted and made the best of it.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
Trying to get a table for lunch on the Lido deck was next to impossible. And when we finally did get some food, we were rushed to a drill and didn't get to eat. Room service was painfully slow and not even available on the last day. Service at the ice cream station was horrible. We stood and waited while many workers walked by and made eye contact, but would not serve us. The dinner in the main dining room was actually very pleasant. Though the breakfast was very rushed and maybe a little impolite.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
There was more than enough to see and do on board and we both came to the conclusion that we could easily be happy on a cruise with many days at sea.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
The staff was mostly friendly, but there were a few exceptions. The staff was not diverse enough and seemed to congregate in cliques.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was extremely clean and well laid out. We noticed people constantly cleaning all of the public areas. The design of the ship was perfect and it was easy to get from one area to another without getting lost.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
We decided to upgrade to the verandah suite and we were very glad we did. The room was very spacious and well laid out and had everything we could have wanted. The room was absolutely quiet and we slept very well. The only complaint with the room is that we were not provided with robes. In fact, we didn't know robes were available until we saw them being stocked in the morning for the next passengers to get our room.
Pros: The verandah suite was spacious and very comfortable
Cons: The lunch on the Lido deck was chaotic and many people were unable to sit and eat
