Review summary

Each individual person was very dedicated & hard working and did a good job; I think the problem was that there simply was not enough staff. It took way too long to eat in the dining room (even for breakfast). The sound system (speakers on the decks & balcony) was inadequate; many speakers were not working.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Generally speaking the food was very good but it took way too long to eat in the dining room (even for breakfast). The Italian section of the Lido Restaurant was using way too much garlic; it was over powering all other aromas in the area.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Activities were pretty much just lectures on shopping, nature, and port excursions.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The people were very professional, hard working & took pride in their work.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
All of the windows were dirty -- these should be cleaned between sailings.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The stool at the desk in the cabin had at least 1 month of dust on it; the edges of the carpet needed vacuuming.

Pros: the ports visited

Cons: the ship

Recommends Westerdam? No.
