We had a fantastic time on our cruise. It was our first time on Royal Caribbean.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
We embarked at Terminal 28 in Galveston, the older Royal terminal. Honestly, our embarkation experience was better with Carnival, but Royal was also smooth and quick. We had to stand in line longer with Royal, which was unexpected, but wasn’t horrible. I felt that the employees could’ve been a bit kinder when we were going through after initial security checkpoint. Important to remember that some people are 1st time cruisers or even travelers, and have no clue what to do. I don’t appreciate being told to hurry up, only to have to stand in line and wait for the cruise line. I understand the need to be efficient, but patience is required both ways.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We absolutely loved the food and drinks on the Voyager of the Seas. Main Dining Room was delicious, as was Windjammer and Promenade. We ate at Giovannis and Chops, both were fantastic! We visited The Tavern, R Bar, and Pig & Whistle. No complaints about any of it. Loved having the Starbucks at the Promenade, cuz I guess I can’t go without it for 4 days. 🤪

Onboard Activities

We really didn’t participate in a lot of activities this cruise, but looked like a lot of fun! We enjoyed relaxing on the pool deck.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
I gave it 4 stars because they kept changing the schedule of activities on the app. The one we tried to go to (music in Star Lounge) was 45 minutes late and then they only sang for 15 minutes before they took a break. I was a bit disappointed with the lack of music on the ship. We didn’t go to any shows this time, but heard they were good.

Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Our cabin was good. Just gave it 4 stars because it is a bit tight, especially if you are a larger person or have mobility issues, but everything else was great and we loved the virtual balcony!
We love Cozumel! This time we went to Nachi Cocom, and it was wonderful. The water was perfect. Hardly any rocks, and sand was so soft. Water was clear. Very little seaweed. Food, drinks, and service were fantastic.
It was fine, but don’t know why we had to walk all the way around half of deck 4 and through half of the dining room. Seemed odd. Again, I was disappointed with some of the staff at the Royal Terminal. I feel they could be kinder and realize some people are 1st time cruisers or travelers. Be patient, just as we are patient with the cruise lines.
